Canadian artist Richie Hawtin came a long way. In the early 90’s he was known as one of the instigators of the global techno scene. From the sleepy town of Windsor where he lived, he used to drive to Detroit to lay down the sickest acid beats in the most rowdy warehouses.
With Canadian DJ John Acquaviva he formed the label Plus 8 in 1990 to release his own tracks under the name F.U.S.E. He spent part of 2002 and 2003 living in New York City, and also has a home in Berlin, Germany. He travels the world in private jets stocked up on champagne, playing the world’s biggest festivals. You just gotta love the guy.
As he gets older, he has decided to settle down in a new place. And ultimately decided on New York State. As only you would expect from Richie Hawtin, the house he bought is essentially a retrofit of a nuclear missile base turned residence ready for the apocalypse. It is a one-of-a-kind most unique property in the world, with its strength, history and now its opulent refurbishment into living space.
It has an incredible balance of natural beauty and technological innovation. Pristine mountain property and panoramic views. The complex, accessible via its own private paved airstrip, offers the optimum level of security and privacy available today.
